Giant Pumpkin Fest!

Rhode Island is the home of the world record giant pumpkin.
Apparently Mama and Papa go to the weigh-off every year, so I'm along for the ride.

This year “The Beast of the East” — weighed in at 1,568 pounds but was scandalously disqualified because it had a hole in the bottom and was losing a small amount of fluid. And the first prize ended up going to Joseph Jutras, of Scituate, who had a 1,507 pound pumpkin--breaking his own record from last year--1,502.

AWE-some tractor drivin'!

Farm life makes me pensive....

I'm so confused.....
How many other vegetables are bigger than me?

The finalists.
Gourds on the bottom are grown for length, not weight.

Live action tractor action. Where's the horn on this thing?

Wedding in Germany?

Papa officiated his first wedding for friends Chris & Karen
at the German-American Club in Pawtucket.
The preacher's family was on hand for good times.

The only German attending was a guy I met who told me the picture was of a very famous castle in Germany. Maybe Cosima & I can live there together? Papa looked right at home.

My awesome seersucker suit was a little off-the-shoulder in this shot.

I love the trumpet.

Dinner was an adventure in co-parenting. I was VERY busy. My new skill is dipping and I went to town on the crudite. There is some concept of "double-dipping' that I don't really grasp. It doesn't get really tasty until I dip it at least 8-10 times.
This says a lot.

Taking a ride with Mama

Amy expands Ezra's vocabulary by teaching him to say pea-COCK.
He only seemed to remember the second syllable. Thanks Amy.

The bad man gets in character.
